I. Production process
Seamless pipe production processes are varied, including hot rolling, cold rolling, cold drawing and extrusion. Among them, the production process of hot-rolled seamless steel pipe mainly includes tube preparation and inspection, tube heating, perforation, tube rolling, pipe reheating, diameter determination (reduction), heat treatment, finished pipe straightening, finishing, inspection and other processes.
The production process of seamless pipe mainly includes the following steps:
1. Raw material preparation: high-quality ingot or billet is selected as raw material, and chemical composition and physical properties are tested and screened.
2. Pre-processing: The ingot or billet is pre-treated with cutting, rust removal, pickling and oiling to ensure that the surface of the billet is free of scale, good brightness and has certain antioxidant characteristics.
3. Heating: the pre-treated ingot or billet is sent into the heating furnace for uniform heating, so that it reaches the precisely controlled temperature range.
4. Perforation: Under the action of the perforator, the heated ingot or billet is pressed into a hollow tube billet.
5. Rolling and sizing: the perforated tube billet is rolled to change its shape and size, and the inner and outer diameters of the steel pipe are adjusted by the sizing machine.
6. Cooling and straightening: the rolled steel pipe is cooled and straightened to ensure its dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
7. Follow-up treatment: Carry out necessary follow-up treatment on seamless steel pipe, such as pickling, cutting head, cutting tail, etc.
8. Inspection and marking: Quality inspection of the finished product, and do a good job of marking and packaging.
II. Application
Seamless pipe has become an indispensable material in industrial manufacturing due to its excellent performance and wide application fields. It is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, boiler, power station, ship, machinery manufacturing, automobile, aviation, aerospace, energy, geology, construction and military and other departments.
