The 3LPE coating consists of the following three layers of material:
Base layer
Base layer: Fused bonded epoxy resin (FBE)
Thickness: ≥120μm.
Function: Provide excellent anti-corrosion properties, and form a strong chemical bond with the surface of the steel pipe.
Features: High adhesion and resistance to cathode stripping.
Intermediate layer
Intermediate layer: Copolymer Adhesive (AD)
Thickness: 170~250μm.
Function: As a binder between the bottom FBE and the outer polyethylene, to ensure that the three layers of material are tightly bonded.
Features: Good chemical stability and temperature resistance.
Outer layer
Outer layer: High density polyethylene (HDPE)
Thickness: 1.8~3.7mm.
Function: Provides mechanical protection against external physical damage, while having excellent resistance to water penetration and chemical corrosion.
Features: High mechanical strength, wear resistance and stress cracking resistance.
The characteristics of 3LPE coating
3LPE coating combines the advantages of epoxy resin and polyethylene to effectively prevent soil, water and chemical corrosion of steel pipes.
With high impermeability, it can prevent water and oxygen penetration.
The outer polyethylene provides high-strength mechanical protection and can withstand physical shocks during transportation and installation.
The coating has good abrasion resistance and scratch resistance.
The 3LPE coating is suitable for the temperature range from -20 ° C to 80 ° C, maintaining good performance in both high and low temperature environments.
The coating is chemically bonded and mechanically chimed with the surface of the steel pipe to form a solid anti-corrosion layer.
